Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a fast-paced Radiology department at a 636-bed Level III Trauma Center in Milwaukee, WI, requiring 2+ years of acute or surgical experience.
Details
- Acute care hospital radiology department with 5 diagnostic rooms, 2 fluoro rooms, 1 video swallow room, 2 clinic diagnostic rooms, 3 pain clinic rooms, and 1 dental room
- Patient population includes inpatient, outpatient, ED, and procedural cases across all age ranges with limited pediatrics
- Average caseload of 15–20 patients per tech per day
- Fluoro procedures include ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic procedures, and urology cases
- OR procedures include ortho, general, and spine cases; comfort with O-arm preferred
- Portables and general radiography also performed
- EMR: Epic; PACS: McKesson; X-ray equipment: GE, Fuji, Del Medical; C-arms: GE 9900, GE Elites, and Medtronic O-arms
- 5x8-hour day shifts per week with start times between 6:00 AM and 8:30 AM
- Schedule runs Monday–Friday with every other weekend rotation (one day off the week leading into a work weekend and one day off the following week)
- One on-call shift per week with three call windows: 6:30 AM–2:00 PM, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, and 10:30 PM–6:30 AM
- No floating to other units
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of acute or surgical Radiology experience required
- ARRT certification required
- Active WI Radiology license required if applicable
- Current BLS required
- Proficiency in surgical/procedural imaging, general radiography, and portables required
- Mid-to-high-level acute care hospital experience required
- Epic EMR experience
- At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the past year required for consideration
- Candidate DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Level III Trauma Center with Magnet Designation, Primary Stroke Center designation, and Level III NICU
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on demonstrated surgical and procedural skill level
- Radiologist on-site 24/7, with 14 techs on days, 7 on second shift, and 3 on third shift; lead tech present on first shift
- 7-day department orientation following facility new employee orientation (NEO)
- One holiday shift required per contract
- OR scrubs are provided in-house
- Free parking available on-site
- Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible
- Local candidates are accepted
