Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a diagnostic radiology position in a hospital setting, requiring ARRT certification and an Associates degree from a JRCERT-accredited program.
Details
- Hospital-based diagnostic radiology unit
- Performs general X-rays, fluoroscopy, and specialized radiographic procedures
- Evening shift: Saturday through Monday, 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
Requirements
- Associates degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Technology Program (military training graduates of a JRCERT-accredited program accepted as validated by active ARRT certification)
- Active ARRT certification
- Active Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy licensure required if applicable
- Current BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, equipment operation, and radiation safety practices
- Candidates must provide MM/DD of DOB and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform a variety of radiographic examinations including general X-rays, fluoroscopy, and specialized procedures per physician orders and established protocols
- Apply ALARA radiation safety principles to minimize patient and staff exposure to ionizing radiation
- Review and process radiographic images for quality, ensuring proper positioning, exposure, and image clarity
- Conduct quality control tests on radiographic equipment to ensure proper functioning and regulatory compliance
- Document examination details, radiation exposure, and imaging parameters in the EMR or radiology information system (RIS)
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate imaging services and facilitate patient care
- Prior experience in a hospital or medical imaging facility is preferred but not required
