Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 7–10 years of cardiac ultrasound experience, including independent pediatric and congenital echocardiography, for a pediatric cardiology setting.
Details
- Pediatric cardiology setting specializing in congenital and fetal echocardiography
- Patient population includes pediatric and fetal cardiac cases
- Performs complex congenital heart and fetal echocardiograms independently
- Assists with special and invasive cardiac procedures
- 5x8-hour day shifts, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- On-call coverage required Monday through Sunday on a rotating 3-week schedule
- May be required to travel between cardiology clinic locations for fetal imaging coverage
Requirements
- 7–10 years of cardiac clinical ultrasound experience
- Experience independently performing pediatric and congenital echocardiograms
- RDCS or RCS credential, or registry eligibility through ARDMS or CCI
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Associate Degree in Allied Health or related field, completion of a 2–4 year Diagnostic Ultrasound program, or 7+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Ability to work effectively in high-acuity environments
- Two professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Analyze imaging data and present findings to cardiologists and physicians
- Collaborate with cardiologists regarding fetal echocardiogram findings and educate patients and families about procedures
- Responsible for maintaining echocardiography equipment and supporting quality improvement initiatives
- ARDMS Fetal Echocardiography (FE) credential preferred
- Minimum 2 years of fetal echocardiography experience preferred
- All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required
