Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in North Carolina, requiring at least 2 years of MS/Tele experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 733 staffed beds, operating as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
- MS/Tele unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6
- Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Every other weekend is required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating within scope to like units or a sister campus may be required based on facility needs
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position
- Royal blue and white scrubs are required
- Pre-start orientation modules must be completed prior to the first day (approximately 4–10 hours)
- RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a general maximum of 4 days per assignment
- Only one holiday off can be approved per assignment
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning
- Night shift travelers may extend up to two times before being required to be away for at least 6 months prior to returning
