Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Nurse Navigator for an Oncology position at a Cancer Center in California, requiring a valid CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Details

• Position is based in an outpatient Cancer Center setting
• Unit: Nurse Navigator Oncology
• Monday through Friday schedule, no weekends
• Day shift: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 year of acute care experience required
• At least 1 year of full-time equivalent experience in Oncology or a specialty area within the past 2 years required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam (up to 3 attempts)
• At least one supervisory, director, or manager reference from within the past year on a relevant unit required
• A second professional reference within the past 2 years (charge nurse, co-worker, or educator) required

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• No RTO (time off) requests permitted within the first 2 weeks of the assignment; any RTO requests must be submitted at time of initial consideration and cannot be changed once submitted
• Candidates who have previously been employed by the health system must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler
• Self-scheduling and blocked scheduling are not available for this position
