Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for a travel position at a large Magnet, Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital, requiring at least 2 years of case management experience in a high-capacity facility.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with over 1,000 staffed beds
- Case managers cover all units across the hospital, excluding psych and women and infants
- Average daily census exceeds 1,000 patients
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8 hours per day (5x8), with shifts starting at either 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM based on unit needs
- Epic and Allscripts used for charting; Epic experience is required
- 12-week contract
Requirements
- Active MO RN license or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of case management experience in a facility with 1,000+ beds; candidates with experience in facilities of 200+ beds may be considered
- Epic EMR experience required
- Academic hospital experience preferred
- Allscripts experience preferred
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include completing assessments on all admitted patients, attending interdisciplinary rounds, and initiating referrals for home health, DME, skilled nursing facilities, LTACHs, and IRFs
- Magnet-designated, academic teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Travelers may work up to 18 months continuously before a 3-month break in service is required
- No RTO permitted during the first week of orientation; no more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
- Navy blue scrubs are required
- Monthly parking passes are available at nearby lots and garages for a fee; costs and availability may vary by location
