Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Interventional Radiology position at a Magnet, Level I Trauma teaching hospital in Washington, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED or ICU experience and an active WA or compact RN license.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit within a 500-bed Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital
- Primarily supports pain procedures, prep, and recovery procedures
- Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 0700–1730
- On-call, holiday, and weekend requirements apply
- Every 3rd weekend required, though frequency may vary; weekend shifts are 12 hours in the Radiology department
- Weekend duties include responding to urgent/emergent interventional procedural needs (e.g., Code Stroke, STEMI, Trauma, IR Body) and recovering patients from sedation/anesthesia
- Floating required within scope to IR and Neuro IR, with potential pre/post-op coverage as needed
- Epic EMR — experience preferred but not required; must be proficient upon start (hard stop)
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ED or ICU experience required
- At least 2 travel experiences beyond initial hospital employment required
- COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions
- Teaching hospital and Level I Trauma experience preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply if all other requirements are met
- Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
- RTO cannot be requested during orientation week; additional RTO should be kept to a minimum
- Previous UW Health staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
- Scrubs: any solid color scrubs acceptable; light blue scrubs provided on the unit; OR scrubs provided in the OR
- On-site parking available for a daily fee; off-site parking also available approximately 1 mile from the facility with weekday shuttle service (5 AM–10 PM, Monday–Friday only)
