Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a resource float pool campus in Gaffney, SC, with potential floating to the main campus and on-call requirements.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a resource float pool — primarily based at one campus but may float to other units or campuses as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule (7p–7a, 3x12s); 48-hour weeks also available
• Weekends required on an as-needed basis
• On-call required: 2 on-call shifts OR 2 additional shifts per 6-week period
• Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Active SC or Compact RN license required; pending license will be accepted but must be obtained prior to start
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Tele experience required; 2 years preferred
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Must be able to pass a Cardiac Dysrhythmia test and a Medication test on the first day of orientation (one attempt allowed)
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Must be able to pass an onsite fit test; shaving may be required

Additional Information

• This is a resource float pool position — RN will know their scheduled campus in advance
• May float to other units across multiple campuses within scope of practice
• Holiday on-call coverage is required
• Facility has an attendance policy: missing more than 2 shifts in a 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review or cancellation
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; RTO requests made after submission will not be considered
