Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN with a MI license for a Cardiac Short Stay unit requiring cardiac unit experience and sheath pull competency.
Details
- patients paround CVL procedures in a Cardiac Short Stay department
- Unit operates 24 hours a day to support patient throughput
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 0600 to 1830
- Every other weekend required
- Floating as needed within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals depending on volume/census
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Cerner PowerChart for charting
Requirements
- Active or pending MI RN license required (must apply within 24 hours of offer if pending)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year on a cardiac unit
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Competency with venous sheath pulls required
- Cerner charting experience required
- Experience with 1:6 patient ratio
Additional Information
- Provide pre- and post-procedural care for cardiac catheterization lab patients
- Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (titration not required)
- Perform sheath removals and monitor for post-procedure complications
- Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias using telemetry monitoring
- Utilize rapid response and code teams as needed
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Maximum RTO of 10 days; if RTO falls during a holiday, must be willing to work at least 1 of the 3 major holidays
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
- Previous travelers must have completed a 3-year gap before returning to this facility
