Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist with 3+ years of experience, including proficiency on Siemens Aera and Sola 1.5T magnets and experience with vented and monitored patients in a Level 1 Trauma setting.
Details
- Academic medical center hospital setting in a dedicated MRI unit
- Patient population includes neuro, body, and MSK cases, as well as ventilated and monitored patients
- Primary equipment includes Siemens Aera and Sola 1.5T magnets
- Two schedule options available: 5x8 night shifts (11:00 PM–7:30 AM, Mon–Fri) or 4x10 night shifts (9:00 PM–7:30 AM, Mon–Thu)
- Every third weekend is required
- Holidays are required as scheduled
- Floating is required within the specialty, to lower acuity areas, and to sister locations as needed
- No on-call requirement
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of MRI Technologist experience
- Proficiency on Siemens Aera and Sola 1.5T magnets required
- Experience scanning ventilated and monitored patients required
- Level 1 Trauma setting experience strongly preferred
- Competency in scanning all basic MRI requests including Neuro, Body, and MSK
- High-level knowledge of MRI safety protocols, MRI zones, and safety procedures for visiting staff
- Current ARRT (MRI) certification required
- Current BLS required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform scanning of all basic MRI requests across Neuro, Body, and MSK modalities
- Responsible for scanning ventilated patients using IV extensions
- Responsible for enforcing and maintaining MRI safety for all visiting staff and personnel
- Any time-off requests must be disclosed upfront
