Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OB RN for a night shift Labor & Delivery position in Wisconsin, requiring active WI or compact RN licensure and certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP.

Details

• Obstetrics unit caring for maternal and newborn patients
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Six 12-hour shifts per pay period
• Every 3rd weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active WI RN license (Standard or Compact) required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS, and NRP
• ALSO certification required within 1 year
• STABLE certification required within 1 year
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required within 1 year
• Minimum two-year nursing degree required; four-year degree preferred
• Intermediate computer proficiency required
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing labor progression, managing inductions and cervical ripening, and handling obstetric emergencies such as postpartum hemorrhage, prolapsed cord, uterine rupture, and placenta previa
• Performs and interprets fetal heart monitoring
• Manages pregnancy-related conditions including hypertension and gestational diabetes
• Provides neonatal assessments and resuscitation, and monitors newborns for hypoglycemia, hypothermia, jaundice, and neonatal sepsis
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary care team and communicates patient status changes promptly to providers
