Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week travel contract in Rutherfordton, NC, requiring at least 1 year of ED experience and AHA certifications.

Details

• Work in a 24-bed Emergency Department at a 143-bed acute care facility with no trauma designation
• Designated Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Accredited facility
• Serves an all-ages patient population with common diagnoses including CHF, COPD, CVA, and pneumonia
• Patient ratios: Main area (12 beds) 4:1; Fast Track (5 rooms) 5:1; Extension from main (6 beds) 6:1 with Medic and Charge assist
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No call or float requirements
• EMR: Meditech

Requirements

• Active RN license — NC or Compact license required
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
• AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS — all must be in hand prior to start
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere
