Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Post-Surgical Med/Surg unit, working night shifts with at least 1 year of experience and Epic EMR proficiency required.

Details

• Post-surgical nursing unit (3 West Post-Surgical) within a hospital setting
• 34-bed unit serving post-op patients from general surgery, including bariatric surgery, as well as overflow medical patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to similar Med/Surg units based on rotation and census needs
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• Equipment: Pyxis medication dispensing system

Requirements

• Active IN RN license or active Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Experience with surgical drains required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Strong teamwork, flexibility, and time management skills required
• Active US SSN required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Post-surgical and Med/Surg experience is preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Education modules will be assigned upon hire and must be completed prior to the first day on the floor
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but may be subject to a reduced travel pay rate
• Report to the main entrance/Door 12, 3rd floor Post-Surgical Unit on the first day; parking available in yellow spaces
