Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an IMC/Progressive Care Stepdown position at a Level III Trauma, Joint Commission-accredited community hospital in Lake Havasu City, AZ, requiring a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience and prior ICU background.

Details

• 30-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown unit within a 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center
• Adult and geriatric patient population including STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, COPD, sepsis, CABG (POD 2), acute respiratory failure, AFib with RVR, ALIF, and XLIF cases
• Patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract
• On-call requirements apply
• Float requirement to Med/Surg and Telemetry, including ED holds pending admission
• EMR: Medhost
• Level III Trauma Center
• Joint Commission Accredited facility

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• AHA certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
• ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

Additional Information

• Facility is located in Lake Havasu City, AZ — approximately 2.5 hours from Las Vegas, 3.25 hours from Phoenix, 3.5 hours from the Grand Canyon, and 5 hours from Los Angeles or San Diego
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Block scheduling requests are not accepted; 48-hour weeks may be considered but are not guaranteed
• Weekly orientation schedule in place
