Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an IMC/Progressive Care Stepdown position at a Level III Trauma, Joint Commission-accredited community hospital in Lake Havasu City, AZ, requiring a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience and prior ICU background.
Details
- 30-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown unit within a 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center
- Adult and geriatric patient population including STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, COPD, sepsis, CABG (POD 2), acute respiratory failure, AFib with RVR, ALIF, and XLIF cases
- Patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- 13-week contract
- On-call requirements apply
- Float requirement to Med/Surg and Telemetry, including ED holds pending admission
- EMR: Medhost
- Level III Trauma Center
- Joint Commission Accredited facility
Requirements
- Active AZ or Compact RN license required
- AHA certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
- ICU experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
Additional Information
- Facility is located in Lake Havasu City, AZ — approximately 2.5 hours from Las Vegas, 3.25 hours from Phoenix, 3.5 hours from the Grand Canyon, and 5 hours from Los Angeles or San Diego
- Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- Block scheduling requests are not accepted; 48-hour weeks may be considered but are not guaranteed
- Weekly orientation schedule in place
