Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at an acute care hospital in Sierra Vista, AZ, requiring at least 1 year of experience and active AZ or Compact RN license.

Details

• Acute care Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a 34-bed hospital setting
• Patient population includes geriatric, adult, and occasional pediatric patients (peds not assigned to travelers)
• Telemetry, surgical, and general medical patient types
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Equipment includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, and telemetry monitors
• Charting performed in Cerner EHR
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Must be available to occasionally work weekends
• On-call required only when unit is understaffed
• Floating may include caring for inpatient holds

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required for travel consideration
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is held on a bi-weekly schedule
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Scrubs in any color are acceptable; closed-toe shoes are required for clinical staff
• Every other weekend coverage is expected
