Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of adult experience for a 13-week night shift contract covering all adult services including ER, ICU, and floors at a hospital in California.
Details
- All adult services including ER, RRT, Code Blue, general floors, and ICU
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- One weekend shift required per month
- No on-call requirements
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an adult RRT
- Active CA RRT license required if applicable
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, and NRP
- Prior travel experience preferred
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
Additional Information
- Performs therapeutic, diagnostic, and emergency respiratory care procedures for patients with respiratory insufficiencies or abnormalities
- Responsible for patient assessment, monitoring, treatment planning, and evaluation in coordination with the care team
- Builds rapport and communicates effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers
- Only one holiday RTO request will be approved for this assignment
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
