Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with ARRT certification and cross-sectional anatomy or MRI experience for a 12-week travel contract in Charleston, SC.

Details

• Hospital-based Radiology/MRI department
• Friday through Sunday, 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM
• No call required
• 12-week contract, 40 hours per week
• Charting in Cerner (experience required)
• May float to a nearby sister hospital

Requirements

• ARRT registration required
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required
• Active SC or compact state license required, if applicable
• Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Professionals program
• Cross-sectional anatomy or MRI experience preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, lift/move patients, and push or pull up to 50 lbs
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform MRI procedures under the medical supervision of certified radiologists following established protocols
• Responsible for the care and safety of patients during imaging procedures utilizing age-appropriate care
• Assists radiologists on procedures as needed and supervises student MRI technologists
• Ensures correct orders, diagnosis, and clinical history are entered into the computer system
• Instructs and prepares patients regarding imaging procedures and assists in obtaining informed consent as needed
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and work-related information
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date, after which a 30–60 day break is required before returning
