Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with ARRT certification and cross-sectional anatomy or MRI experience for a 12-week travel contract in Charleston, SC.
Details
- Hospital-based Radiology/MRI department
- Friday through Sunday, 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM
- No call required
- 12-week contract, 40 hours per week
- Charting in Cerner (experience required)
- May float to a nearby sister hospital
Requirements
- ARRT registration required
- Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required
- Active SC or compact state license required, if applicable
- Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Professionals program
- Cross-sectional anatomy or MRI experience preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, lift/move patients, and push or pull up to 50 lbs
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform MRI procedures under the medical supervision of certified radiologists following established protocols
- Responsible for the care and safety of patients during imaging procedures utilizing age-appropriate care
- Assists radiologists on procedures as needed and supervises student MRI technologists
- Ensures correct orders, diagnosis, and clinical history are entered into the computer system
- Instructs and prepares patients regarding imaging procedures and assists in obtaining informed consent as needed
- Maintains confidentiality of patient and work-related information
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date, after which a 30–60 day break is required before returning
