Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Oncology Care Unit position requiring a VA or compact RN license, ONC certification, and at least 2 years of hospital experience.

Details

• Oncology Care Unit in a hospital setting in Richmond, VA
• 25-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:4–1:5
• PCTs available on most shifts
• Charting is performed using Meditech
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every third weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• ONC (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital experience required
• Ability to access a portacath, or willingness to learn
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Additional Information

• Newly renovated unit featuring a new call bell system, vital sign machines, scales, and IV pumps
• All navy scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Up to one day shift and one night shift of PTO may be granted at one time
