Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position in Corsicana, TX, requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 2 years of L&D experience.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting with 14 beds
• Patient populations include Labor, Nursery, Postpartum, and Mother-Baby couplets
• Patient ratios vary by area: Labor 1:1–2, Nursery 1:6, Postpartum 1:6, Mother-Baby 1:3 couplets
• Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, three shifts per week (Sunday–Saturday)
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• EMR: Centricity

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC) required — no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start
• Current NRP certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• L&D and Postpartum experience required; Nursery experience preferred
• A valid Driver's License is required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• 13-week contract
• Scrubs must be any solid color; OR scrubs are provided when necessary
• RTO is capped at 36 hours total, and requests must be less than one week at a time
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
