Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Gynecologic Oncology Infusion position in Nashville, TN, requiring active Chemotherapy Certification from an ONS provider and a minimum of 2 years of oncology experience.
Details
- Position is located in a Gyn Oncology Infusion unit within a hospital setting in Nashville, TN
- Unit operates with 16 infusion chairs and a 4:1 patient-to-chair ratio
- No unit secretaries or patient care technicians are available on the unit
- Equipment includes Alaris infusion pumps
- Documentation is completed in MediTech Expanse
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), with no weekend or major holiday requirements
- Floating may be required to the TCT Infusion department, with orientation provided prior to floating
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license — TN state license or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- Chemotherapy Certification from an ONS-approved provider required
- ONC certification required for all RNs working in oncology
- Minimum of 2 years of recent oncology experience required
- Prior experience with chemotherapy patient care required
- Proficiency with Port-A-Cath access using sterile technique
- Ability to establish peripheral venous access
- Experience with chemotherapy administration, IV hydration, and electrolyte repletion
- Ability to draw labs via central venous catheter or peripheral access
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include chemotherapy administration, IV hydration, electrolyte repletion, port access, peripheral venous access, lab draws, and obtaining height, weight, and vital signs
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
- Solid-colored scrubs required in navy, lavender, pink, black, or teal
