Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a PACU position in Indianapolis, IN, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and active IN or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in a hospital setting with 10 bays in one PACU and 4 in another
- Diverse post-surgical patient population including general surgery, urology, ENT, orthopedics, colorectal, vascular, endoscopy, cath lab, and interventional radiology cases
- Patient ratios are 1:1 until critical recovery elements are met, then 2:1
- Standard PACU equipment used
- Epic EMR — experience preferred
- Varying 10-hour day shifts, 10:00 AM–8:30 PM
- On-call required up to 4 times per 6-week schedule; weekend shifts only apply when covering call
- No floating required
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS required; PALS required (candidates without PALS may be considered)
- Minimum 3 years of PACU experience required; 4–5 years preferred
- Experience in recovery of vascular, cath lab, and endoscopy patients preferred
- US Social Security Number required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- New hire onboarding education and preceptorship with a staff member provided on first day
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible to apply
- Surgical scrubs are provided — no need to supply your own
