Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a pediatric cardiac cath lab at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital, with experience in pediatric cath lab procedures required.
Details
- Pediatric cardiac cath lab setting within a Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
- 2 cath lab procedure rooms
- Pediatric patient population with cases including Pediatric/Adult Transplant, R/L Biopsy, Balloon, Stent, and Valve Placement procedures; IR experience (preferably pediatric) may also be required
- Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- On-call required: approximately 8–10 call shifts per month, including weekend coverage
- Epic EMR; experience preferred
- Parking fees apply on nights and weekends only (one-time $20 parking pass)
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of cath lab experience required; pediatric cath lab experience preferred
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Pediatric Cath Lab preferred; EP experience also preferred
- CCI with RCIS or RCES preferred; ARRT (R) with SCRQS(R) also acceptable
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS required (AHA certifications only)
- Radiation badge required
- SC license required if applicable — candidates with a pending SC license may be considered, but must be licensed/active prior to start
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, but local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
- All travelers are assigned to the facility's emergency response team; candidates should be aware that hurricane season runs from June through November, with peak activity in August and September
