Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Stepdown position requiring at least 2 years of Peds Cardiac Stepdown experience and an OH RN license in hand.
Details
- Pediatric Stepdown unit within a children's hospital setting
- Patient population includes pediatric cardiac cases, both medical and surgical (e.g., cardiac defects, post-op CTICU, heart and lung transplants)
- Specialized procedures include management of trachs/vents, high-flow nasal cannula, post-op caths, and inotropes
- Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to different units is a requirement and should be expected
Requirements
- Active OH RN license (or compact license) currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac Stepdown experience required
- 2 supervisor references required for consideration — at least one must hold a manager or supervisor title (charge nurse references do not qualify)
Additional Information
- Local candidates are not accepted for this RN position
- Candidates who have worked permanently for this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years to be eligible
