Description

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment, with tomography experience preferred.

Details

• Acute care hospital radiology department serving ER, OR, inpatient, and outpatient populations
• Patients are scheduled one per hour to allow room for inpatients and ER patients
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
• Cerner EMR used in this position
• Hospital scrubs are provided

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of mammography experience required
• Active BLS and ARRT (M) certification required
• California state mammography technologist certification required
• COVID vaccination required
• Tomography (tomo) experience is a strong plus
• Active state license required at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted
• Active certifications required at time of consideration; pending certifications will not be accepted
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Radiology department is supported by a Radiology Coordinator, Manager, and Supervisor, with approximately 15 radiology techs scheduled per 24-hour period
• Orientation length varies based on experience and whether the candidate has tomography training
• Candidates must provide initial digital CE units, initial tomo CE units, 2 years of mammography and tomo CE units, and prior mammography numbers for the last 2 years
• Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
• Local candidates are accepted
