Description

American Traveler is hiring a DEXA Technologist with current, proficient bone density exam experience and active ARRT credentialing for a 13-week day shift assignment at an acute care hospital in Portland, OR.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 418 staffed beds
• Dedicated DEXA/Bone Density unit — no X-ray duties required
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shifts, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No on-call, no weekends, and no block scheduling required
• No floating between units
• Charting via Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Current and proficient bone density exam experience is a hard-stop requirement
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• Active ARRT with RT(R) registration through OBMI required — a separate DEXA license is not required
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• License required if applicable
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting are required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform bone density (DEXA) scans — X-ray duties are not part of this role
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
