Description
American Traveler is hiring a DEXA Technologist with current, proficient bone density exam experience and active ARRT credentialing for a 13-week day shift assignment at an acute care hospital in Portland, OR.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital with 418 staffed beds
- Dedicated DEXA/Bone Density unit — no X-ray duties required
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shifts, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- No on-call, no weekends, and no block scheduling required
- No floating between units
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
Requirements
- Current and proficient bone density exam experience is a hard-stop requirement
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required
- Active ARRT with RT(R) registration through OBMI required — a separate DEXA license is not required
- Current BLS certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- License required if applicable
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting are required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform bone density (DEXA) scans — X-ray duties are not part of this role
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable
