Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 1S Observation unit position in Zanesville, OH, requiring a minimum of 3 years of Telemetry/Med-Surg experience and current Epic EMR proficiency.
Details
- Work setting is an acute care hospital Observation unit (1S)
- Patient population includes general observation cases with potential exposure to respiratory, stroke, and cardiac patients
- Floating required to other Med-Surg units (Respiratory, Stroke, Cardiac, etc.) and potentially the ED if appropriately skilled
- Evening shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- On-call is a rare occurrence
- Epic EMR experience required — proficiency must be documented; no refresher classes or 1:1 onboarding support will be provided
Requirements
- Active OH or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of recent Telemetry and/or Med-Surg RN experience required
- Must be able to read telemetry/cardiac rhythms (BCRA) — competency will be tested on day one
- Current Epic EMR proficiency required; must be documented in candidate profile
Additional Information
- Telemetry/cardiac rhythm reading competency is assessed on the first day — candidates who do not pass will be immediately terminated
- Candidates found to lack Epic proficiency after starting will be immediately terminated
- Returning Genesis travelers must not have worked there within the past 9 months to be eligible
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission
