Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for a breast care center position requiring ARDMS RDMS (BR) certification and at least 1 year of breast ultrasound experience.
Details
- Work is performed at an outpatient breast care center within a hospital medical office building
- Position is exclusively focused on breast ultrasound examinations
- Monday through Friday day shift, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
- Charting is performed in Epic
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in breast ultrasound
- ARDMS RDMS (BR) - Breast Specialty certification required
- Registered with ARDMS with successful completion of one registry pertinent to the department beyond physics (options include OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, pediatric, or vascular)
- BLS certification required (AHA only); must not expire prior to start date
- High school diploma or GED required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
- Ability to lift, bend, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies, including heavy items
- Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient transport
- Manual dexterity to operate complex and delicate equipment with precision
- License required if applicable
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform breast ultrasound examinations under physician direction to identify abnormalities for patient diagnosis
- Responsibilities include patient identification and preparation, exam protocol adherence, image quality review, and accurate recordkeeping
- Assist and instruct students and other radiology techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment use
- Provide patient education, ensure patient comfort, and practice appropriate infection control and sterile techniques
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
