Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a MS/Tele position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent experience and at least one completed prior travel assignment.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting at a Level I Trauma Center
- Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Team nursing model with a patient ratio of 1:7, supported by PCCs and other RN staff
- Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
- On-call required as needed
- Weekend shifts required as needed; weekend block scheduling may be considered
- Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license — TN state license or Compact (NLC) license required; no pending licensure accepted
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required; 3+ years preferred
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Large hospital experience required
- At least one completed travel nursing assignment required; first-time travelers are not eligible unless they have 3+ years of recent experience
- ADN is the minimum required education for this position
- Driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — RTO requests will not be accepted after an offer has been made
- If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
- Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- All certifications expiring during the assignment should have a renewal plan in place prior to consideration
