Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/Angio position in Hawaii, requiring a minimum of 2 years of interventional cath lab experience and a Hawaii RN license.

Details

• Works in an Interventional/Cardiac/Vascular unit
• Performs IR, vascular, and cardiac procedures including angiography, cardiac cath, pacemaker insertions, and IABP insertion
• Handles hemodynamic monitoring and has working knowledge of CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine procedures
• Shifts are days with variable times, either 8- or 10-hour shifts at 40 hours per week
• Call required 1-2 days per week, approximately every 2-3 weekends, including holidays
• 4-person call team
• Patient ratio: 2 labs
• EMR: Meditech (experience required)
• Monitoring system: Sensis
• Equipment: Siemens imaging systems

Requirements

• Active Hawaii RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an interventional cath lab required
• Demonstrated knowledge of diagnostic and interventional cardiology, cardiovascular, and interventional radiology procedures
• Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and angiography procedures

Additional Information

• All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to the start of their assignment; this appointment is held at Hilo Employee Health and attendance is mandatory
• Plan to arrive in Hawaii by the Thursday before a Monday start date to complete the Employee Health appointment on Friday morning
• 13-week contract
