Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring a minimum of 1.5 years of OR experience, prior travel experience, and proficiency in multiple surgical specialties.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room setting
- Surgical specialties include Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology
- Experience with Da Vinci Robotic surgery, endovascular procedures, and ophthalmologic cases is a plus
- Epic EMR used for charting; experience preferred
- Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM), Monday–Friday with a rotating day off plus call responsibilities
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1.5 years of OR nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Demonstrated experience in Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology surgical specialties required
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- Candidates residing in the following TX counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
- Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Travel pairs or groups will not be considered
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
