Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical (Neuro/Neurosurgery) position in Michigan, requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and a rotating day/night schedule.

Details

• 48-bed Medical Surgical unit specializing in neurology and neurosurgery patients
• Patient diagnoses include brain and spinal cord tumors, epilepsy, stroke, cerebral aneurysm, neuropathy, Myasthenia Gravis, head and spinal cord trauma, and neuro oncology
• Unit includes 10 dedicated stroke beds and 10 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) beds
• Patient ratio is 1:4 on weekdays, nights, and weekends
• Rotating day and night shifts (7:00–19:00 / 19:00–7:00), 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Requires 5 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to designated units required during low census periods

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• 2 supervisory references required for consideration (charge nurse references not accepted)
