Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position at a large academic teaching hospital, requiring active MO or Compact RN license and the ability to pass a Relias EKG exam.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit in a large short-term acute care, academic teaching hospital with 1,266 staffed beds
• Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:4 on all shifts
• Average daily census of 15 patients across 12 rooms and 17 beds
• Floating within the service line required as needed
• Every other weekend required
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Telemetry monitoring experience preferred; chemo administration experience preferred
• 13-week contract with the option to extend

Requirements

• Active MO RN license required at time of consideration; IL candidates may be considered with a pending IL license
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Must pass the Relias EKG exam, with demonstrated ability in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Navy scrubs required
• No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may work at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Parking passes are available for purchase on a monthly basis; night shift workers may park at no charge in employee parking
