Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Telemetry unit position at a Level II Trauma teaching hospital, requiring Epic proficiency and comfort with neurology and neurosurgery patients.

• Telemetry unit in a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
• 629-bed teaching hospital
• Patient population includes neurology diagnoses and neurosurgery patients requiring familiarity with NIH Stroke Scale
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• No on-call required
• Block schedules not required
• Charting via Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active WA state or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry RN experience required
• Comfort with NIH Stroke Scale, neurology diagnoses, and neurosurgery patients required
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• 13-week contract (approximately)
• Former permanent staff of this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible if previously employed there as permanent staff
• Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
• Scrubs: any color accepted for RNs
• No parking fee
