Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Patient population includes cardiac, surgical, neurological, renal, and respiratory cases
• Clinical skills include cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and remote telemetry monitoring
• Performs and manages procedures such as pre/post cardiac cath, post cardiac angiogram, post MI care, pre/post cardiac surgery, and TAVR
• Manages cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration), heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, and PCA
• Respiratory management includes BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, tracheostomy care, chest tube management (Emerson/PleurEvac), and ABG interpretation
• Additional responsibilities include central line, PICC line, and peripheral line care, blood product administration, wound care/wound vac, surgical drains, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Neurological care includes CVA management, post-TPA care, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal
• Renal care includes pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure, and continuous bladder irrigation (CBI)
• ER holding experience applicable

Requirements

• Active PA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN telemetry experience required
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with pacemakers (temporary and permanent) required
• Experience with TR Band required
