Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with Level 1 Trauma experience for a 13-week contract at a Magnet, academic teaching hospital.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting within a fast-paced general diagnostic radiology department serving the Emergency Department and inpatient units
- Level 1 Trauma, Magnet, and academic teaching facility with 632 staffed beds
- Schedule is a combination of 5x8-hour and 4x8-hour day shifts with a 7:00 AM–7:30 AM start time window
- Every third weekend rotation required
- No on-call requirements
- No floating to sister facilities or within scope
- Charting performed in Epic (experience preferred; training provided during orientation)
- Free parking available with badge access to the parking garage
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray)
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Surgery experience preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- ARRT certification required
- AHA certifications preferred
- Active Michigan state license required (compact licenses are not accepted in MI); license required if applicable
- Must be able to provide proof of high school level education
- All certifications must be active by contract start date and may not be pending
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform general diagnostic imaging exams in a high-volume, fast-paced environment supporting the Emergency Department and inpatient units
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
- Former core staff members must wait 12 months before returning and should be verified through HR prior to consideration
- Maximum of 5 days of RTO allowed per assignment; all RTO must be submitted at the time of application
- Pre-start modules are required and may vary by specialty
- Hunter green scrubs required
