Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a night shift travel contract requiring Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience, including pediatric exposure, with TNCC certification.

Details

  • Emergency Department (ER) setting at an academic medical center
  • Night shift schedule, 7p–7a (4x12-hour shifts)
  • 36 or 48 hours available per week
  • Weekends required; scheduled days will vary based on staffing needs
  • Block scheduling is not available
  • Every other holiday coverage required
  • Floating may occur in accordance with candidate's clinical experience
  • EMR: Epic experience required

Requirements

  • Active RN license — VA state license or Compact license required; pending VA license accepted
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (TNCC may be pending at time of consideration but must be obtained before start)
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
  • At least 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience, or 2 years of Level 2 trauma experience required
  • Some pediatric ER experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

  • No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must wait at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
  • Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
