Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with OR and fluoroscopy experience for a weekend night shift contract at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care teaching hospital.

Details

  • Works in an acute care teaching hospital with over 700 licensed beds, Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated, and certified stroke center
  • Settings include adult acute care, outpatient, bedside/portable, ER, ICU, OR, Peds, and PICU
  • Patient population includes neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
  • Procedures include fluoroscopy, abdominal imaging, full upper and lower extremity studies, head/chest imaging, and spine/pelvis imaging
  • Schedule is 2x16-hour night shifts, Saturday and Sunday, 5:00 PM to 9:00 AM
  • No on-call requirement
  • Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

  • Current BLS and ARRT(R) certification required
  • Virginia state license required; any active state license in hand is accepted, as Virginia will grant emergency authorization while a permanent VA license is processing — license required if applicable
  • Minimum experience in OR and fluoroscopy required
  • Proficiency with a broad range of X-ray studies including abdominal, upper and lower extremity, head/chest, and spine/pelvis imaging
  • Experience working in acute care, ER, ICU, OR, and pediatric settings required
  • Must provide a copy of driver's license and Social Security card for consideration
  • Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Local candidates are not accepted; a radius requirement applies to determine eligibility
  • Must be available to work one holiday during the 13-week contract, in rotation with staff
  • All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application
