Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry (CPCU) position requiring an active ME or compact RN license and a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Details

  • Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) in a hospital setting
  • Patient population includes adult med/surg and cardiac telemetry cases
  • Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 13-week contract
  • Every other weekend may be required at the discretion of the department manager or supervisor
  • Pay period runs Sunday through Saturday

Requirements

  • Active ME RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS required
  • Minimum of 3 years of RN experience required
  • Telemetry experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills, ability to multitask, and flexibility with scheduling required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • MOAB or CPI certification preferred but not required

Additional Information

  • Works under the supervision of the Unit Director, with shift-level supervision provided by the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
  • Holiday coverage required for: Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Memorial Day, and Fourth of July
  • Travelers may work a maximum of 2 consecutive 13-week assignments at this facility; a minimum 26-week break is required before returning for another assignment
