Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring advanced dysrhythmia knowledge and a valid NH or Compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Administers Cardizem and Insulin drips (for hyperglycemia) and Phenobarbital on the telemetry unit
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to a nearby sister facility may be required

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required — temp licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2+ years of acute care experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry or equivalent specialty setting
• Advanced telemetry experience required; must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Exam during onboarding
• NURSYS license verification report for all active RN licenses required for consideration
• Completed skills checklist matching the Med/Surg Telemetry specialty required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers with strong relevant experience will be considered
• 3 professional references required upon commitment (2 must be from leadership — manager or charge RN; no peers or coworkers)
• Orientation is conducted on a weekly basis
• Former permanent staff may return as a traveler after a minimum 12-month break in service
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be placed at a local pay rate
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration
