Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical (Adult) position in Ohio, working night shifts on a 13-week travel contract.

Details

• Medical/Surgical adult unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or active Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to perform heavy work, including exerting 50–100 lbs of force occasionally and frequent patient handling

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care using the nursing process
• Responsible for delegation of tasks to nursing assistants and direction of co-workers as appropriate
• Duties include medication administration, treatment performance, physician order implementation, and patient/family education from admission through discharge
• Must maintain thorough and accurate documentation throughout the care process
• Position requires the ability to manage urgent situations calmly and communicate empathically with patients and families
