Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment in California requiring ARRT (R), CA Fluoro Permit, and CA Rad License.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting, X-Ray unit within a Radiology department
- Performs X-ray on all floors, departments, and in Surgery
- Equipment includes GE, Gen Rad, R&F, Carestream portables, OEC C-Arms, and O-Arm — experience preferred
- Charting via Cerner EMR
- 4x10-hour day shifts with varied start times of 6:30 AM, 7:00 AM, or 7:30 AM
- Required call of 3 days per month: weeknights 6:00 PM–7:00 AM and 24/7 on weekends, with a 30-minute response time
- At least 30 days advance notice will be provided for the call schedule
- No floating to other modalities required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of X-Ray/Radiology Technologist experience
- Active ARRT (R) certification required — pending certifications not accepted
- Active BLS certification required
- Active CA Fluoroscopy Permit required — license required if applicable
- Active CA Radiology License required — pending licenses not accepted
- A copy of a valid driver's license is required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
Additional Information
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity Health, within the past year are not eligible — candidates who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
- A radiation badge will be provided by the agency for the duration of the assignment
- Orientation is 12 hours
