Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Richlands, VA, requiring 2+ years of experience and AHA certifications including TNCC.

Details

• Work in a 16-bed Emergency Department at a 175-bed acute care hospital
• Patient population includes geriatric, adult, pediatric, and OB patients
• Typical patient ratio is 5:1 with a pull-to-full-bed model
• Equipment includes EKG, ultrasound, LUCAS, EZ-IO, Omnicell, Medtronic monitors, stretchers, and wheelchairs
• EMR: MediTech
• Day shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM); both night and mid shifts available
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• May be pulled to provide 1:1 patient sitting coverage
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum ADN education required
• Required certifications (AHA): BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
• Proficiency in patient assessment, identifying patient needs, and initiating appropriate nursing interventions
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care for geriatric, adult, pediatric, and OB patients
• Timely and accurate clinical documentation skills required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

• Perform timely and accurate documentation of medical necessity in the medical record
• Any solid-color scrub top and pants required; form-fitting, revealing, or casual attire such as hoodies, t-shirts, sweatshirts, or spandex is not permitted
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
