Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool position requiring advanced telemetry experience and 12-hour night shifts on an every-other-weekend schedule.

Details

• Position is in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool unit
• 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a), every other weekend
• Float to other units or locations within the hospital system may be required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
• Experience with Cardizem and Insulin drips (hyperglycemia management) required
• Experience with Phenobarbital administration on a telemetry unit required

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required — temporary licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2+ years of acute care experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry or equivalent specialty setting
• Advanced telemetry experience required; candidates must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia exam during onboarding
• NURSYS license verification report with all active RN licenses required for consideration
• 3 professional references required upon commitment (2 must be from leadership — manager or charge RN; no peers or coworkers)

Additional Information

• First-time travelers with strong relevant experience will be considered
• Weekly orientation provided
• Former permanent staff may return as a traveler after a minimum 12-month break in service
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be offered the local pay rate
• RTO (requested time off) must be disclosed upfront
• Resume should reflect 2+ years of acute care specialty experience and document any travel experience
• A skills checklist matching the specialty is required for consideration
