Description
American Traveler is hiring a Medical Surgical/Telemetry RN for a night shift position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring Level I Trauma and large hospital experience.
Details
- Work in the MS/Tele unit of a Level I Trauma Center within a short-term acute care hospital
- 13-week assignment on night shift (4x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
- Team nursing model with a 1:7 patient ratio, supported by PCC and RN staff
- Weekend rotation required as needed
- On-call required as needed
- Floating may occur between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state or compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines (no pending licensure accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg-Tele experience required, 3+ years preferred
- At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers not accepted unless 3+ years of recent experience
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Large hospital experience required
- ADN required (BSN not required for this position)
- Cerner and Epic experience preferred
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- Vaccination status documentation required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Med/Surg-Tele unit within a Level I Trauma Center
- Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration, as RTO will not be approved after an offer is made
- If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, must be willing to work 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 of these holidays fall within the assignment, must work at least 1
- Former permanent staff or travelers who completed a full-year assignment must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning
- Weekend block scheduling may be considered, though block schedules are generally not accommodated
