Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Neuro Unit position requiring strong neuro experience and at least 2 years of Med/Surg travel experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Neuro Unit in a large, Level 1 Trauma hospital
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:7 utilizing a team nursing model
• Floating between like units and nearby campuses (within 20 miles) is possible, though cross-campus floating is rare
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or compact license required (no pending licensure)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience with prior travel experience; 3+ years preferred
• Strong neuro nursing experience required
• Large hospital and Level 1 Trauma experience required
• ADN degree or higher accepted for this position
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not eligible; at least one completed travel assignment is required (exception: candidates with 3+ years of recent experience may be considered)
• Former permanent or internal associate employees must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Local candidates are not accepted
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall within the assignment period, travelers must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application — RTO requests submitted after an offer is made will not be considered
• Vaccination status must be provided for consideration
