Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a night shift position at a Level III Adult Trauma hospital serving the Emergency Department and Special Care Nursery.

Details

• Work in a 120-bed Level III Adult Trauma hospital
• Serves patients in the Emergency Department and Special Care Nursery
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30–07:00
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Charting via Epic
• No floating required
• No on-call required
• Block scheduling available at manager's discretion

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required
• Active RRT credential required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS
• State license required if applicable
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services to patients in the Emergency Department and Special Care Nursery; PICU/NICU experience is not required, but NRP and PALS are required to ensure competency in emergency situations
• Scrub color: Ceil Blue
• No employee parking fees
• Travelers are required to shave prior to mask fit testing so that the mask can properly seal — failure to do so may result in cancellation of the assignment
• CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided by the facility, and travelers may not use their own CAPR or PAPR devices; there are no exceptions to this policy
• Travelers may be required to participate in holiday and weekend rotation
• Please submit any requested time off upfront when possible
• Pending licenses are accepted at manager's discretion
