Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring at least 2 years of experience with strong neuro and stroke background, working night shifts at a university hospital.

Details

• Neuro ICU unit within a university hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Required to work every other weekend, with at least 50% of holidays covered during the contract
• Float to ICU and Med Surg as needed
• Cerner charting experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year in Neuro ICU or equivalent specialty
• ICU experience with a strong neuro background required
• Stroke experience required
• Must be able to ambulate, reach, and lift/move objects weighing 20 lbs or more
• 2 professional references required for consideration

• Candidates living within 75 miles of the facility may be considered but at a reduced pay rate
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
• This is an active role in a 24/7 healthcare facility; rotating shifts and availability during inclement weather are expected
• Regular exposure to patients with contagious illnesses is inherent to this role
