Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg position in Sierra Vista, AZ, requiring at least 1 year of experience and AHA-certified BLS and ACLS.

Details

• Acute care Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• 34-bed unit serving a general adult and geriatric population, with occasional pediatric patients (not assigned to travelers)
• Patient types include telemetry, surgical, and general medical cases
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Equipment includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, and telemetry monitors
• Charting is done in Cerner
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (7PM–7AM)
• Occasional weekend shifts required (same hours apply)
• On-call required only when short-staffed or placed on call
• Floating may include caring for inpatient holds
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA-certified BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidate must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates

Additional Information

• Telemetry experience is preferred
• Flexible and team-oriented candidates are encouraged to apply
• Biweekly orientation schedule
• Scrubs in any color are acceptable; closed-toe shoes required for clinical staff
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
