Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel Echocardiology Technician with RDCS or CCI certification and 1+ years of experience to perform echocardiograms in a non-interventional cardiology unit.
Details
- Non-interventional cardiology department
- Performs approximately 12 echo studies per day using a simple protocol, with each study taking 10-15 minutes
- Choice of 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM-5:30 PM) or 5x8-hour shifts (7:00 AM-3:30 PM)
- On-call requirement of 3-4 nights per week
- May be required to float as needed
- Uses CARDIO PAC EMR system
Requirements
- RDCS or CCI certification required
- License required if applicable
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in echocardiography required
- No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing echocardiograms, EKGs, and holter monitor hookups and scanning
- Duties also include editing and filing EKG recordings and cardiology records and processing appropriate billing charges
- Black scrub color required
- Maximum RTO request is 1 week
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Local candidates will not be considered
- Travelers who worked at this facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered
