Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long-Term Care (LTC) position in Vestal, NY, requiring a valid NY RN license and at least 1 year of LTC or related clinical experience.

• Long-term care setting within a 300-bed state/government-run facility offering skilled nursing, rehabilitation therapies, memory care, and wound care
• Alzheimer's and dementia patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:18–20
• Night shift, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week (22:45–07:15)
• Every other weekend required
• 16-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY State RN license required — no license violations permitted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of LTC experience required; candidates with recent rehab, med/surg, or hospital experience will also be considered
• Must be able to pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation
• Proof of NY RN license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, performing accurate medication passes, monitoring and reporting changes in resident condition, completing timely documentation, and supervising CNAs
• Charting system is PointClickCare (PCC); prior PCC experience is not required
• Start dates occur on a bi-weekly basis aligned with the facility's orientation schedule
• Pre-assignment Relias modules must be fully completed no later than 3 days prior to the start date
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration — no RTO will be approved after an offer is made, and candidates cannot take every holiday off
• Call-outs require more than 24 hours advance notice
• Compliance process takes approximately 1.5–2 weeks
• Any solid color scrubs and closed-toe shoes required
